Hi All, my family suffered a major tragedy in 2008 so as a result I've been out of action for the past two years...I dont know if anyone I chatted to or who was following my posts is still around...
Anyway I'm almost ready to start writing again so I'm looking for contact from my old CP's or for some new ones :-) Contact from other authors is always welcome.
Thank you to those who have been in touch and supporting me during these trying times. I have drawn on my faith in God, and He has seen me through.
Bless You
Naleke :-)

FEEL THE HEAT COMP
I cant believe I met my NEW Critique Partner Jackie (and got to read her Feel the Heat Comp entry) in time for her to be announced one of the two RUNNERS UP in the Feel the Heat Competition run recently at eHarlequin *squeals with delight*
So bubbly all round in NZ today I believe...in fact with the time difference I think things will be getting more than a little blury by now....LOL!!
Well done Jackie! Now the really hard work begins!
Glad to be your CP girl....

Time to Query...
I'm so happy to announce I have a new CRITIQUE PARTNER!!! *crowd goes wild* Jackie Coates from New Zealand *waves to Jackie*
At Jackie's urging I have posted a query letter as on closer inspection it seems I posted my MS off mid May, not mid June....
So time is ticking on a little, and I was starting to panic slightly. Thank you to my friends and fellow writers at eHarlequin for talking me down...
So either letters will cross in the post or I'll hear something soon???
Keep praying, I want this so bad....

Hello to Suzanne Perazzini
Hi and welcome to my blog.
I have let the comp pass. It obviously wasnt meant to be....at least not this time. That's okay.
I will stick with my WIP and finish it, send it in the old fashioned way. You'll see from my blog my first manuscript took 10 years to complete...I put a current WIP aside to work on my comp entry so technically I have two WIPs so I need to focus.
I honestly will be happy if I get my WIP 1st draft complete this year, then I'll feel like I'm giving it a serious crack...
And yes I am lurking in the misty halls of eHarlequin a little bit more than I used to and finding lots of useful advice!
I thought a lot about how I was going to write after spending some time at eHarlequin, and the muck up with the comp. I want to stick to having ideas pop into my brain, write my story and then figure out which line it suits. I'm seeing a lot of posts from people trying to write a story for a line and it seems to bite them quite a bit...that's just how I read it anyway.
Anyway, must press on, I've taken a couple of weeks off and am struggling to get my mojo back...I think the kids took it....

Oh My Gosh!
I had a MAJOR meltdown last night (vodka was involved...I get that from my cousin Ali...).
I dont know what happened but I went to check the date for the Feel the Heat comp, then I went and checked the guidelines again to see how many pages my synopsis had to be...and then it happened...it leapt out at me...
My WIP doesnt meet the criteria for MODERN HEAT!!!
I got so caught up in writing something that was HOT from the start, I forgot about the Modern Heat guidelines. I'm writing a freakin INTRIGUE novel....SHIT SHIT SHIT.
Then the vodka flowed.
My husband laughed his head off and asked me "How many times did you read the submission guidelines?
Two, two times I read them. I just forgot.
Feel very down. I have nothing that will fit and doubt very much I can come up with something in two weeks.
Sigh...no editor for a year for me...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

FEEL THE HEAT COMP
Things are ticking along well with my submission for the "Feel the Heat" competition which closes soon. The synopsis is done, just working on the first chapter. Unfortunately my mind wants to work on other chapters than the 1st one, but as the deadline approaches I am trying to rein the imgination in! Thankfully you can send your submission via email otherwise I'd be out of the running...!!!
Details of the competition can be found here...

The 10 year plus manuscript!!!
Has been finished and submitted some 5-6 weeks ago. I've recieved the letter to say my precious thoughts made it there okay, so now the wait is on.
Thankfully (not really) a close relative became ill so time has been passing quite quickly! Check out Ali and her dad...so cute...!!
I sat in the halls of Sir Charles Gairdner hospital furiously scribbling notes so that I wouldnt lose my MOJO, but alas now I have returned to regular home life the brain has stopped ticking over. And I did so well firing off the new synopsis in a couple of days...sigh.
